When you offer old gold to us, every step is conducted openly and in your presence. Each piece of jewelry is first checked for official hallmarks and tested for its carat content. Then, we weigh your gold on a calibrated scale on our counter, so you can see exactly how many grams your jewelry weighs and on what basis the calculation is made.

Because the price of old gold fluctuates daily, hourly, and every minute, we always calculate the daily price based on the current gold rate of 24-carat investment gold, which you can find online on various platforms. As a guideline, approximately 65% of this 24k daily price is a realistic indication of the value of 18-carat old gold.

We work with unique transformation lines from Emotions and New Life jewelry. Your gold is melted down and processed into a new design. You only pay the labor cost, as the gold is entirely yours.

Our house rules for selling old gold:

• The seller explicitly declares that he or she is the rightful owner of the goods offered and is authorized to sell them.
• The seller declares that the goods offered are not derived from theft, fencing, fraud, money laundering, criminal activities, deception, or any other offense.
• The seller declares that all information provided is correct, complete, and truthful.
• The seller provides a valid identification document. Jeweler Van de Heyning makes a copy or digital record of this document in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Juwelier Van de Heyning reserves the right to subject the goods offered to (additional) technical checks, analyses, and authenticity tests, both before and after purchase.
• If, after purchase, it appears that the goods offered are wholly or partially counterfeit, falsified, plated, non-conforming, or otherwise do not correspond to the seller's description, the seller remains fully liable for all damages incurred.
• In the event of established counterfeiting, fraud, or deception, the seller is obliged to immediately repay the full purchase amount, plus any investigation, expert, legal, and collection costs.
• Juwelier Van de Heyning reserves the right to provide all relevant information, documents, camera footage, and identity details to the police, judicial authorities, and insurers in case of suspected fraud or criminal offenses.
• By selling, the seller confirms having taken note of these house rules and accepting them without reservation.
• Any dispute falls under Belgian law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Antwerp district, Turnhout division.
