Aftercare: important for proper healing

Good aftercare is essential for rapid healing. We advise you on how to care for your new earring holes:

• Keep the new earrings in continuously for the first 6 weeks.
• Clean and disinfect the front and back of the ear daily with Augusta disinfectant .
• Be careful with shampoo residue after washing your hair, as this can cause irritation.
• Always wear earrings for the first three months, even at night, to prevent the holes from closing up.

If you experience redness or swelling for more than a week, check that the earrings aren't too tight and consult a doctor if necessary.

How quickly does a freshly shot hole close?

During the first three months, holes can close within 24 hours if you don't wear earrings. Therefore, always wear earrings during this period.

Can you change your holes after four weeks?
No, we recommend waiting six weeks before changing earrings, provided healing is going well. Choose hypoallergenic earrings to prevent irritation.

How long will my ears be sensitive after shooting?

Want to get your ears pierced? Easily make an appointment and visit our shop in Oud-Turnhout. This appointment guarantees two staff members, so both earrings are pierced at the same time. When your child gets their ears pierced at our shop, they'll receive a certificate of bravery and a bottle of sanitizer.

Ps.: You are also welcome without an appointment, but we cannot always guarantee that two employees will be present to set both earrings at the same time.
